Pacific Grove, CA, February 28, 2011 -- Iridient Digital, Inc. has released RAW Developer 1.9.0 a major update to our critically acclaimed RAW image processing software for Mac OS X. This release now runs as a 64-bit application on Mac OS X 10.5 or later with 64-bit capable Intel processors!

64-bit support brings the ability to use extremely large amounts of memory (greater than 4GB) and allows for very, very large image scaling on export. In addition this release brings greatly improved performance for systems with high processor core counts and hyper- threading such as recent Mac Pro models, especially when using Mac OS X version 10.6. Performance on Mac OS X 10.6 systems has been improved in some cases by as much as 4-6x or more for some operations!

The speed of preview window updates has also been improved and preview image scaling quality improved for better visual appearance as well.

This update also includes support for 10 new camera models including:
Canon Rebel T3i (600D/Kiss X5) and Rebel T3 (1100D/Kiss X50) Olympus E-PL2 and XZ-1 Pentax 645D PEF format Leaf Aptus-II 12 and 12R Phase One ACHROMATIC+ AND IQ180 Kodak Z981

RAW Developer can be used unregistered in "demonstration" mode. When unregistered RAW Developer is fully functional, however all exported images will be watermarked.
