A "Mini-Shootout" of Pro Digital SLRs!

Even given the vagaries of this test, there weren't many variables that could have biased the results toward one camera or the other. (Except the fact that the Fuji camera was an early prototype, while the others were all full-production models.)

Not really a lot to talk about, here's the image samples: (All of these are cropped right from the camera files, saved as Photoshop JPEGs, at quality level "10". - This table will likely take a little while to load, given the multiple images it contains...)

Noise Conclusion
Hmm, not quite as obvious, but the S1 looks best at 1600, to my eyes, although it's a close contest with the D1. - Completely unscientific, not based on any objective measurements, just a personal judgement. Readers are obviously encouraged to make their own judgements, based on the samples!

(Note though, that I get a minimum of ~100 emails per day, so I may have a hard time responding to all of them! - The comments page is the best way to carry on a dialog on this test...)
