Here again, the D2Xs' Setup menu is very comprehensive. Of note are a few new features compared to the DX2. Image Authentication embeds image authentication information into the image files, allowing alterations to the image to be detected using Nikon's optional image authentication software. Save/Load settings allows all settings except date, time and monitor brightness to be saved or restored to/from a memory card. The Recent Settings menu allows the user to view and modify (if enabled in the Setup Menu), the eight most recent setting changes made, without navigating to back to the original menu(s).
