Chased by a raging bull: Inside Nigel Barker’s most insane photoshoot

 

 

Nigel Barker is a man known for being in front of the camera as much as he is behind it. Host of The Face and judge on America’s Next Top Model, his work takes him to incredible places and sends him on some crazy shoots.

Of all the shoots he’s been on though; one has stood out in particular as the craziest. It was a shoot with America’s Next Top Model in Barcelona’s Monumental Bullring. Complete with live bulls, charging both the model and Barker, numerous close calls made this one of the most adrenaline-pumping photoshoots of his life.

In the three minute video, he recounts the day of the shoot and the craziness that ensued. Determined to get the perfect shot, of the bull charging straight down at the camera, there were no workarounds to capture the moment. Instead, with the help of a few matadors, Barker and his models stood tall to make sure they captured the shots they needed.

One close call in particular left his shirt ripped and back scratched by the charging bull. Barker and his model didn’t seem to take the bull’s threats too personally though; the team purchased the bull after the shoot and let him run free.
