A few weeks ago, the Olympus E-M5 II compact system camera made its debut as a followup to the extremely popular E-M5 (E-M5 vs E-M5 II). With a raft of significant changes throughout, including a record-breaking image stabilization system, redesigned weather-sealed body, tilt/swivel display, performance and movie-shooting enhancements, and more, we were keen to get our hands on the E-M5 II for a Shooter's Report just as soon as we could -- and as it transpired, we had the perfect opportunity.
On a press trip to the beautiful island of Bermuda, some 640 miles off the eastern coast of the United States, we shot with the E-M5 II in all manner of conditions, both day and night, and with some really cool subjects. From swimming with dolphins to exploring wind-whipped harbors and eerie underground caverns, we shot some 1,100 images in our first few days with Olympus' capable new shooter, and now we've finalized the first Shooter's Report section of our Olympus E-M5 II review.
If you're keen to learn more about the Olympus E-M5 II, you're most certainly not alone. It soared straight into the top ten most popular cameras on our site shortly after launch, and it's been there ever since. Hop on over to our first Olympus E-M5 II Shooter's Report to see what we thought of the camera that takes the OM-D E-M5-series back to the forefront with all the latest technology!
