THE VIVICAM 3330 - 1.3 MEGAPIXEL DIGITAL ZOOM CAMERA
A stylish, ultra-compact, 1.3 MP digital camera with 2X Digital Zoom at a family-friendly price
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 2, 2003)- Vivitar Corporation announces the ViviCam 3330 product available immediately. The V3330 is a compact, feature-packed, 1.3 MP digital zoom camera. The V3330 is an affordable choice for anyone seeking a compact, stylish, versatile, high quality digital camera. High-impact styling and precision manufacture make the V3330 stand apart from the competition.
The stylish V3330 is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel CMOS image sensor. Its 2X digital zoom is complemented with macro capability. Images and video clips may be reviewed on the 1.5" LCD TFT display. In addition to outstanding digital still images, the V3330 also has a movie mode allowing for the capture of movie clips. Sample images from the V3330 can be viewed and downloaded from the V3330 image gallery beginning in March at:
http://www.vivitar.com/Products/DigCams/Galleries/V3330/V3330Glry.html
The V3330 offers imaging versatility. Users may select from three resolution and two quality settings. Whereas the V3330 is a 1.3 MP camera, it can interpolate images to 2 MP based upon processing inside the camera. Still image resolution may be set to either 1280 x 960 (native resolution), 640 x 480, or interpolated to 1600 x 1200. Motion JPEG video clips are captured at a resolution of 320 x 240 in AVI format. The V3330 also feature a web-cam mode for live video to your PC via USB.
The V3330 is an ideal camera for all your digital imaging needs ranging from email and web applications to images that are ready for display or print. Quality 5" x 7" prints are not a problem with the V3330.
A notable feature for video-clip enthusiasts is the fact that V3330 video clips are not limited to a pre-determined duration (such as 30 or 60 seconds). Video clips captured with the V3330 may be recorded to the extent of available memory.
The V3330 comes with 8 MB internal memory built-in to the camera. Internal memory can be extended using Secure Digital (SD) memory cards.
Other features include focus-free operation, automatic white balance, exposure compensation control, an integral three-mode flash (including red-eye reduction), a 10-second self-timer, and a tripod-mounting socket. The V3330 comes with both USB and video output cables to download images for viewing and/or editing.
"The V3330 is a high-impact digital camera. It is love at first sight whenever I show this camera to young teens. The clever styling, precision mechanical fit of the controls, audible power indications, and a uniquely fashioned on-screen display make the V3330 stand out from the competition," states Tom Piehn, Vivitar's Director of Imaging Technologies. "This model is destined to be a big hit."
The V3330 multi-lingual camera interface menus are available in five languages including English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Video output can accommodate either NTSC or PAL systems, making the V3330 a truly International camera. Two AA alkaline batteries, or a single CR-V3 battery, supply power whereas built-in power saving logic automatically turnsoff the camera to conserve battery power. Image editing software is included with the camera.
The suggested retail price for the camera is $149.95. The V3330 may be purchased at mass merchandisers, consumer electronic stores and other Vivitar resellers nationwide.
