Upgrade includes special Auto Collage feature, new compact kiosk offers retailers an easy "category in a box".

Las Vegas, NV, March 7 -- Eastman Kodak Company today announced KODAK Picture Kiosk Software Version 1.5 that offers consumers more creative print projects while improving overall system performance. For retailers with G3 and G4 kiosks, the software upgrade creates revenue streams beyond the 4x6-inch print by providing greater functionality with the creation of picture collages. Kodak also announced the new KODAK Picture Kiosk GS Compact, a solution that provides retailers without a photo printing category an easy to use, plug and play solution that can be up and running in minutes.

"Kodak continues to provide its retail partners with innovative, yet easy to apply print options and category solutions that take advantage of the booming digital printing market," said Nicki Zongrone, General Manager, Worldwide Kiosk Systems and Services, and Vice President, Consumer Digital Imaging Group, Eastman Kodak Company. "The new software upgrade announced today will improve kiosk performance and profitability, while delivering more fun and easy to use solutions for consumers who are looking to do more with their digital pictures. The new KODAK Picture Kiosk GS Compact provides retailers a compact category solution that delivers retailer profit out of the box in only minutes".

New KODAK Picture Kiosk Software Version 1.5
The new software contains a new Auto Collage feature that enhances the consumer experience and drives incremental sales of prints and enlargements - all delivered easily and printed in seconds for the consumer.

With new Auto Collage, the consumer begins by choosing up to 25 pictures stored on any digital storage media, including memory cards, CD/DVD or USB thumb drives. The collage is customizable with easy-to-use formatting functions, including:

Shuffle -- which automatically changes the placement and size of the pictures selected. Consumers can shuffle multiple times until the desired effect is achieved.

Resize -- selected pictures can be made bigger or smaller relative to others on the page.

Background Color and Style -- consumers can choose from a set of color backgrounds to complement the pictures, or select one of their pictures as a translucent background for a truly unique effect.

Text -- using the touch screen keypad, a special message or title can be added to the page.

The new software will be available as a free upgrade to participating retailers in June.
