If you’re a fan of scavenger hunts or geocaching, a new app called TapTag will likely be of interest to you.

Available on Android (with an iOS app currently in beta), TapTag lets you share your adventures with the world by creating one-off postcards and leaving them behind so others can find them. If you’re not the one taking and saving a photo, you can explore the various places you travel to and discover postcards left behind by others.

Similar to other photo sharing apps, such as Instagram, you can also follow people and keep up with the places they’ve been. It’s a fairly simple concept, but one that could make for an interesting network, especially if you and your closest friends are globetrotters looking for new ways to share your travels with the world.

You can download the app for free by heading over to the Google Play Store. If you’re an iOS user looking to get in on the action, you can head on over to TapTag’s site and sign up to be one of the first beta users.
