Improve your retouching technique for free: Eight-part retouching tutorial video series

 

 

Professional retoucher Sarah Tucker has learned a lot from other retouchers during her career and wanted to give back to the community by recording and releasing a free eight-part video series which cover her complete editing and retouching process.

Her series covers topics including blemish removal (part 1, seen below), hair (two parts), micro dodge and burn, macro dodge and burn, enhancing details, background separation and applying finishing touches. While Tucker shows you everything she is doing in Photoshop, this is not a tutorial for those who are new to the software, as some of the techniques used are quite complex.

As is always the case with Photoshop, there are many paths to the same result, but Sarah’s non-destructive workflow has been refined over nearly a decade of retouching work, so there should be something for many retouchers in her series.
