Many of you have likely already heard of Brent Durand, as he's been a major player in the underwater photography world for some time through his work at Underwater Photography Guide and other publications. And if his name sounds familiar to you long time IR readers, his work was featured in our Underwater Housings article and video from a few summers ago.

Now he's taken his talents above ground for us... way above ground... to shoot the new Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G lens on the eminently popular Sony A9 for a brief Field Test. Located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, Mount Whitney is the highest summit in the contiguous United States at some 14,505 feet above sea level. Quite a trek for a real world test of this high-end rig!
