    Extremely sharp at 35mm, Really quiet, Superior to previous models
    not as sharp as the 55-250stm at 55mm

    Got this lens with my SL1. Having used the previous versions of this lens I must say this is vastly superior. It is so quiet! At 35mm it is tack sharp. This is the only 18-55 you should purchase. It is solidly built and CA is at a minimum.
    It's a very "good" lens

    sharp, silent and built solid
    Really nothing so far!

    I purchased this used on Ebay for 138.00. I have used the ISII version of this lens. While I was impressed with that lens I must say this one is even sharper. I purchased this STM model to complement the kit 18-55stm that came with my SL1. Focusing motor is absolutely silent which helps when shooting video. Sharpness is very good from 55-250, exceptional at about 100mm. I am loving this lens!
