10 out of 10 points and recommendedSharp, wide angle, f2 aperture, built like a tank, built in motorHeavy, Tokina's manual/auto focus clutchThis is an awesome lens for doing wide angle shows with a fast aperture. The lens is built like a tank and heavy. This is a crop sensor (APS-C/DX) lens.

Tokina 24-70mm f/2.8 AT-X PRO FX SD
10 out of 10 points and recommendedSharp, built like a tank, built in motorHeavy, Tokina's manual/auto clutch, no is/vr/vcThis is a great alternative to the other 24-70 lenses on the market. It competes with those lenses but has some idiosyncrasies. Due to the price value proposition, I would go with it again. This is a full frame lens.

Tokina 70-200mm f/4 AT-X AF PRO FX VCM-S SD
10 out of 10 points and recommendedSharp, built like a tank, ultrasonic motor, is/vr/vcHeavy, tripod collar optional (good luck finding it for sale), Nikon only, no autofocus with teleconverters (dslr bodies) and Nikon FTX (Z bodies) (manual focus only)This lens is great with the ultrasonic motor and is/vr/vc built in. The is/vr/vc is not quite as effective as some of the other lenses in this range (3 stops). The price/value proposition would have me buying this again.

Tokina 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 AT-X 840 AF D
8 out of 10 points and recommendedBuilt like a tank, full frameHeavy, not as sharp as other lenses, weird hood, screw drive autofocus on NikonThis is not a bad lens but not stellar. It is an affordable lens for doing some wild life and travel. Team this up with the Tokina 300/4 and you have a great economical 2 lens wildlife setup. I replaced the weird lens hood with the Tokina BH-723 petal style bayonet hood (from Tokina 24-200)

It is not pixel peeper tack sharp wide open competes with a lot of the other lenses in this category. The price/value proposition is great. This lens is full frame.

Tamron 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD SP
10 out of 10 points and recommendedSharp, is/vr/vc, build quality, firmware user upgradable, Nikon model works on DSLR and Z bodiesSharpness increases with is/vr/vc offThis is a fun, sharp lens, with 3.5 stops is/vr/vc. The sharpness is impacted slightly with the is/vr/vc turned on. Shut it off and it is absolutely stellar. This lens is full frame.

Tamron 60mm f/2 Di II LD IF Macro 1:1 SP AF
10 out of 10 points and recommended1:1 macro, works on Nikon FTZ/Z bodies, F2 apertureNot sharpest macro lens, no range limiterThis is a great lens that works better as a portrait lens than as a macro lens. Stop it down slightly (f2.2-2.5) to get stellar portraits. Surprisingly, it autofocuses on Nikon Z bodies with the FTZ adapter. I am using this on the Nikon Z50. This is a crop lens (aps-c/DX)

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical IF SP AF
10 out of 10 points and recommendedWorks on Nikon DSLR and Z bodies (with FTZ adapter), F2.8 aperture, sharp2 versions for Nikon - 1 with screw drive focus and 1 with the built in motor. This is a fun lens. It is a full frame lens. The screw drive focus model focuses faster than the built in motor. However the built in model focuses on the Nikon FTZ and Z body combo. It is nice and sharp but not pixel peeping sharp.

Tamron 28-105mm f/2.8 LD Aspherical IF SP AF
7 out of 10 points and recommendedF2.8 aperture, 28-105mm range, lens clutch to prevent lens creepNot the sharpest on newer bodies, screw drive motorThis is a fun full frame lens that unfortunately is a bit disappointing on the newer Nikon bodies. I have owned two copies of this lens at two different points in time (during the film era and from the Nikon D90 onwards).

Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 Di VC OSD
9 out of 10 points and recommended5 stop is/vr/vc, sharp, range, user upgradable firmware, works great on FTZ adapter for Nikon Z bodiesOlder non-ultrasonic motorThis is a fun, sharp lens with a great focal range for portraits and general photography on full frame bodies. The range is a 53-230mm lens on crop (aps-c/DX) bodies. The sharpest focal length is 85mm. I would buy this body again.

Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8D ED AF Nikkor
9 out of 10 points and recommendedTwo ring model is fast focusing, sharp, built better than a tankScrew drive focusing, optional lens hoodThis is a great sharp full frame lens with surprisingly fast focusing that is the best built lens I have used. There are sharper lenses in this price range, but this is a great price/value proposition.

Nikon 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR DX AF-S Nikkor
10 out of 10 points and recommendedSharp, AFS motor, full-time auto/manual focus, VR, rangeWeird/large lens hood,This is a great lens the is sharper and better aperture range than the Nikon 16-85mm VR. I replaced the lens hood with the Nikon HB-35 (HB-63 also works). This is a crop sensor lens (aps-c/dx)

Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S Nikkor
9 out of 10 points and recommendedRange, VR, AFS motorPrice, weightThis is a great full-frame superzoom that works great on both Nikon DSLR and Z bodies. The range is great. The sharpness is not to the level of lenses of the 24-70 and 70-200/300 ranges but it keeps up. Both models of the Tamron 28-300 VC are cheaper than the Nikon but they get blown out of the water. One of the best superzooms available. I am using this lens on my Nikon D800e.
