ACD's PhotoSee to be incorporated into Axiom's printing solution

Victoria, British Columbia - September 18, 2002 - ACD Systems International Inc. (TSX:ASA), the digital imaging company, today announced a co-marketing arrangement with Axiom Connection Ltd. to demonstrate ACD's PhotoSee™ as part of Axiom's digital photofinishing solutions at Photokina. Photokina, the world's leading tradeshow for the imaging and photography industries, takes place from September 25-30 in Cologne, Germany.

Axiom is a UK based software development firm that specializes in providing digital production and workflow management solutions for photo-retailers, photofinishers, and professional photographers. Axiom's software has been installed in over 4,000 different locations across 22 countries worldwide. Both ACD Systems and Axiom will showcase ACD's PhotoSee image viewer as part of Axiom's digital photofinishing product line; which includes FotoKiosk, Microkiosk, Digital Photo System (DPS), ProImager (Pi), and Fotoworkflow solutions.

ACD's PhotoSee is easy-to-use image-viewing software specifically developed for the growing number of retail photofinishers that scan customers' photographs onto CD's. PhotoSee can be co-branded for the retailer and includes Axiom's Print Order Wizard that enables customers to order prints of their digital photographs over the Internet. This direct link between the customer and the photofinisher encourages repeat business as customers make the transition from analog to digital photography.
