New features recently added include :
1)an improved S/N ratio (through a new front face which allows a better temperature behaviour) and
2)a Region Of Interest capability (ROI allows to increase the frame rate by outputing only the area of interest.

A Camera Link version shall be available during the fall 2002.
A special 4 taps version of the 8M is available on request, providing up to 20 fps at full resolution.

ATMEL will also exhibit its new linescan products :

AViiVA™ C2 : Based on a 4096 pixels single line array with R,G,B color filters, the camera outputs 1365 RGB patterns or 4096 interpolated color pixels, either in serial or parallel mode at programmable data rates up to 60MHz. The camera has a compact housing, is available for Camera Link or LVDS, and can run in 8 or 12 bits. AVIIVA C2 is suitable for film scanning or machine vision applications requesting a cost-effective color capture solution.

AKYLA™ MD : This camera incorporates a beam splitter and 3 sensors with a very precise optical alignement, contributing to accurate color image capture.
