Information from our hands-on with Contax's SLR digicam that uses a full-frame sensor...
Shortly after the PMA show floor opened yesterday, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to get hands-on with Contax's N Digital SLR. The model has progressed greatly since we saw a wood-block mockup at PMA last year, and is now a shootable model - although Contax are not yet ready for sample images to be published. Along with images of the camera itself which you can see below, we also captured several shots of the camera's setup menu, showing options for tone curve, edge emphasis, white balance, record review (and style), hihglight, power saving, mode lock, camera reset, format, file numbering, date, language, cleaning (which locks up the mirror and opens the shutter to allow cleaning of the filter in front of the CCD) and a version number check.
We'll have more information on our conversation with Contax later on, but are rushing to complete this item before yet another meeting, so in the meantime some eye-candy follows:
