Sporting a large, organic LED display, the first issue in a new line of EasyShare digicams offers 3.1 megapixels for $399.
LAS VEGAS -- Eastman Kodak Company introduced world's first digcam with an organic light-emitting diode display. The EasyShare LS633's 2.2-inch screen is clear, detailed and up to 107 percent larger than most displays, which average 1.5 inches.
The LS633's OLED display features a wide, 165-degree viewing angle and is packaged in a stylish, metal body. In addition, the 3.1-megapixel camera combines a professional-quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens, multiple picture taking modes, Kodak's Color Science algorithms and the unique red-jeweled on-camera Share button. It will be available initially in Europe, Asia and Australia in April with a suggested retail price of $399.
The LS633 is the first of a new line of digicams in the Kodak EasyShare system that is compatible with the new EasyShare printer dock 6000. The printer dock produces borderless 4x6 prints from an EasyShare digicam in as little as 90 seconds. The LS633 is also compatible with the new EasyShare camera dock 6000, which allows transferring and quick camera battery recharging in a small desktop footprint.
