As the Photo Marketing Association tradeshow has officially begun, we've just added some interesting new material to our PMA report.
Most significantly, we've published a video covering Panasonic's just-announced Lumix DMC-L1 digital SLR. You'll really get a feel for the size and ergonomics of the DMC-L1 as you watch our publisher, Dave Etchells, get hands on with a prototype camera. Dave also chats with Suguru Takamatsu of Panasonic's Optical Group, who gave some insight into the design of both the DMC-L1 camera body, and the simultaneously announced Leica 18-50mm optically stabilized zoom lens.
When you're done with the video, we've also published two new galleries with a whopping total of 142 images to our PMA galleries. Following on from the video above, we have 55 photos from the joint Olympus / Panasonic / Sigma / Leica press conference this morning, including numerous closeups of the Lumix DMC-L1 digital SLR. We've also posted photos from last night's Hollywood-themed DigitalFocus press event, attended by twenty two different companies in the imaging and related fields, including photos of cameras, printers, accessories, software and more that were on display.
So - go watch the Panasonic SLR video, view the PMA galleries, and you'll feel you're at the show yourself!
