We've continued our preliminary testing of the
Canon EOS-1D Mark III
pre-release camera, and we remain impressed, especially with the high ISO images.
I found a computer that handled the Live View mode fairly well and updated that section of the
Canon EOS-1D Mark III Hands-on Preview
. I also added a new subtab to the Operation section for the
EOS-1D Mark II's Live View
mode, with larger screenshots and more detail.
You'll also find a new video at the end of the
EOS-1D Mark III Hands-on Preview
that shows the WFT-E2A Wireless File Transmitter and the 580EX II flash unit and how they attach to the
Canon EOS-1D Mark III
.
Finally, both the
Operation
and
Optics
sections now have the Viewfinder and LCD status screens, with explanations of the changes for each.
Early tomorrow, I'll update with some of the pre-release performance numbers, which have some interesting twists thanks to aperture stop-down time.
