Latest offerings from Polaroid unlock personal content trapped on computers, cameras and cell phones

LAS VEGAS (January 7, 2008) – Polaroid today launches a new of line instant entertainment products to help consumers unlock their digital media. The company is announcing the launch of a Bluetooth- and USB-enabled Digital Instant Mobile Photo Printer for mobile phones and digital cameras, as well as a unique digital media hub that allows consumers to view and share their pictures, videos and recorded television like never before.

Roughly the size of a deck of cards, the Polaroid Digital Instant Mobile Photo Printer is a simple way to instantly share photos trapped on cell phones. The Freescape™ line of digital media-sharing products enable consumers to unlock their digital photos, songs and videos from the confines of a computer.

“Personal digital media collections are growing at exponential rates, and consumers spend most of their time experiencing media on a computer monitor or tiny LCD screen,” explains Michael London, CEO of Polaroid. “Polaroid’s new innovations put consumers back in control of their digital media, making it sharable however they choose.”

Digital Instant Mobile Photo Printer
With the power of ZINK™ Zero Ink™ Printing Technology, Polaroid brings instant photography into the digital age and helps consumers rediscover the magic of instant, printed pictures. The new line of Polaroid digital instant printers utilize a revolutionary process to create full-color digital photos without ink cartridges or ribbons. Using a Bluetooth or USB connection, the pocket-sized instant digital printer is the easiest way for consumers to print pictures stored on a cell phone or digital camera.

Freescape™ Digital Media Exchange
Linked directly to a television, Polaroid’s new digital entertainment center unlocks media trapped on a computer or digital camera by anchoring digital media in a versatile “hub” that records, manages, shares and stores digital media without a monthly fee. The Freescape™ Digital Media Exchange is the easiest way for consumers to load content onto a video media player, including home movies and television recorded in HD, and is the first product that allows consumers to sync digital media collections remotely.
