PRESS RELEASE: Sigma launches APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM lens for Four Thirds
The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM for Four Thirds, the large aperture telephoto zoom lens has fast maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire zoom range.
This lens will be showcased at PMA, which starts on January 31st 2008 in Las Vegas, U.S.A. The introduction of this new lens increases our lens line-up for Four Thirds mount to a total of eleven models.

This large aperture thelephoto zoom lens has a minimum focusing distance of 100cm (39.4") and maximum magnification of 1:3.5. Two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and three ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. The super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting. High image quality is assured throughout the entire zoom range. This lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), ensuring a quiet and high speed AF and full-time manual focusing capability. An adjustable and removable tripod collar is included as a standard component.
Case, Petal-type Hood (LH850-01), Tripod socket (TS-21) supplied.
*With Four Third cameras, the focal length will be equivalent to 140-400mm.
