PRESS RELEASE: Ryutaro Hosoda Named President And CEO, Fujifilm North America Corporation
Valhalla, NY, February 16, 2010 – FUJIFILM Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has announced that effective immediately Ryutaro Hosoda has been named President and CEO, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. Mr. Hosoda retains his role as President, FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation.
FUJIFILM North America was established on January 1, 2010, to merge FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. and FUJIFILM Graphic Systems U.S.A., Inc. FUJIFILM Canada, Inc. will become a subsidiary of the new company on April 1, 2010.
In his new role, Mr. Hosoda will oversee five Fujifilm operating divisions: imaging products, selling consumer and commercial photographic products and services including film, one-time-use cameras, online photo services and fulfillment, digital printing equipment and services; consumer digital cameras; motion picture films; graphic systems products and services supplying the printing industry; and the Canada Division (operating as FUJIFILM Canada Inc.), which markets multiple Fujifilm products.
As President of FUJIFILM Holdings America, Mr. Hosoda is responsible for enhancing Fujifilm consolidated management across the Fujifilm companies that operate within the United States.
Mr. Hosoda joined Fujifilm in Japan in 1977 and during his career has held various senior level marketing and operations positions of increasing responsibility in Japan, Europe and the U.S. In 2008 he was appointed President of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and President and CEO of FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. Mr. Hosoda was named a Corporate Vice President of FUJIFILM Corporation in 2009.
