PRESS RELEASE: Assemble and Finish Up To 400 Bound Books an Hour
Semi-Automatic Machine Crimps, Binds, Cases-In, and cools in One Combined Operation
PMA2010, Anaheim, California, February 18, 2010 – Achieving a “professional” look with every hardcover book you make has become routine with the new semi-automatic operator loads the covers and the book blocks – up to 10 at once – the machine takes over to produce perfectly bound books.
Designed by the world’s leading maker of photobook binding systems to meet the needs of large-scale production companies, the CBCC12 has three functions. 1. It binds the covers and book blocks, along with casesheets if they are being use, with a special binding resin. 2. It cases-in by crimping the heated spine and gluing the casesheets to the spine. 3. It automatically cools the heated spine so that the finished books can be handled immediately for packing, etc.
No special skills are required to operate this machine. A pre-programmed panel makes adjusting the binding temperature as easy as touching a button. For maximum operator safety, both the loading and unloading trays are closed while the machine is operating.
Although designed to match the performance of the companion automatic bookmaker Casemaker 750A cover maker, the CBCC12 will work with any cover.
