Only casualties for digital photography consultants consist of a damaged laptop computer, odorous flash, and a blown tire...
Professional photographer Rob Galbraith and his colleagues from digital imaging consultancy Blue Pixel have returned from the Eco-Challenge 2001 event in New Zealand, which we mentioned a couple of times recently on this news page. If you're not familiar with Eco-Challenge, the event consists of 12 days of hiking, climbing, riding, cycling and rafting, and subjects the photographers to almost as challenging an environment as the sportsmen participating.
Rob and friends have returned relatively unscathed, and so has most of their equipment. In an interesting article on his web site, Rob describes how (with the exception of an unfortunate laptop computer, flash unit, and tire) all of the equipment weathered the harsh environment.
Hop on over to Rob's site, for the full story!
