High-speed single lens reflex digicam earns praise...
Steve Sanders of the Steve's Digicams website has posted a full review of Nikon's D1H SLR digital camera, an update to the existing D1 model which features a number of improvements, most significantly the ability to capture a speedy 5 frames per second... Steve concludes: "The bottom line - the D1H is a professional digital camera that will please both the photojournalist and the sports shooter as well as advanced amateurs. Its 5fps capture rate and image quality will allow it to hold its own against 35mm film cameras. Currently the D1H is the fastest digital SLR available although it is soon to be eclipsed by Canon's new 4-megapixel EOS-1D and its 8fps capture rate. For those that already have a significant investment in Nikon lenses or are making the switch from F5/F100 film cameras to digital, the Nikon D1H is the way to go if you need the speed. If you need or want higher image resolution then look at the Nikon D1X."
