Mention in Friday's 'The Screen Savers' gives us a significant increase in visitors...
One of the nice things about running a site like ours is when our readers refer their friends, family and colleagues to us - it means that you've found our service helpful, and is one of the most important ways new visitors find us. Similarly, the 'traditional' media often refer their own readers to the Imaging Resource, something we appreciate but don't often mention on our own news page. (For example, we've recently been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and 'Future Tense' a radio program on Minnesota Public Radio that aired on some 65 stations in the upper midwest.)
One other mention that was just too cool to miss came on last Friday's episode of 'The Screen Savers' - a live daily show that airs on cable / satellite station TechTV. Hosted by Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton, with contributions by Martin Sargent, the show recommended us as a 'Site of the Nite' and summed us up as follows: "Imaging Resource is the Tom's Hardware Guide of digital cameras, scanners, printers, and other imaging hardware.
The reviews here are ridiculously in-depth. If you print one of these reviews, you'll be drowning in paper. Dave Etchells, the dude who writes much of this site, definitely knows what he's talking about. Check out the very helpful 'Cameras For:' page, which recommends hardware for moms, photo students, travelers, enthusiasts, and so on." Our friends at the Digital Camera Resource Page and Steve's Digicams were also mentioned. Thanks to TechTV and 'The Screen Savers' team for their kind words, and welcome to their viewers who are new to our site. Thanks also to all of the other members of the media who've mentioned us, and to all of our readers who've sent friends, family and colleagues our way!
