PEI magazine announces the 2001 Cool2 award recipients in their January issue. Each year the Atlanta-based magazine presents Cool2 awards to the "most desirable imaging products of the year."

A team of technical advisers with expertise in a wide variety of imaging areas nominate their favorite products. Product nominations are based on several factors including quality, innovation, improvement, ease of use, and broadness of scope. PEI's editors and contributing editors then cast votes to determine the winning products.

This year PEI presented 32 awards in 9 categories, representing the full spectrum of imaging products. These categories range from digital cameras and color management tools to graphic tablets and software.

Each Cool2 recipient will receive a plaque during the annual PMA tradeshow commemorating their achievement and the right to use the Cool2 award seal for one year. A complete list of Cool2 recipients appears in the January 2002 issue of PEI. The list will also be available on the magazine's web site at www.peimag.com.
