Sony's compact 3mpix, 3x optical zoom digicam reviewed...
The folks over at the Digital Photography Review website have now posted a review of Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-P71 digital camera, a model we reviewed back when it was announced on February 20th. At the time, Phil Askey posted a Quick Preview item, but he's since had a chance to have a more in-depth look at the camera (although note that it is still a pre-production model), concluding: "As a budget or first time camera the DSC-P71 certainly fits the bill, everything is easy to understand and you'll get everything in the box you need to go out and start shooting. Image quality was good with a neutral colour balance and good resolution performance. We did discover a few little problems which I'm hoping Sony can address before the full production units hit the streets." When you're done with Phil's review (and our own!) you can also find a first-look at the Digital Camera Resource Page and another at Steve's Digicams...
