Kodak: LS420 digicam on the way! By

New model will be a fixed focal length camera with a very attractive all-metal body...
Eastman Kodak Co. is preparing a new compact digital camera for release, the Kodak EasyShare LS420, according to a teaser flash presentation posted on the company's US website. We're currently under a non-disclosure agreement and hence cannot discuss anything not already shown in the flash presentation, of which you can see several screen-shots below.
That said, we've seen speculation as to the specifications on other sites - including comment that the camera has a 2x optical zoom lens. A look at the pictures in the presentation will confirm that this is not the case, as the lens is clearly labelled "38mm (Equiv.)"
At the moment, not much else can be gleaned from the presentation except that the camera has a built-in flash, optical viewfinder, color LCD display for image preview/review, and a movie mode which should also offer sound capture (since the microphone vents can be seen on the front of the camera).
