Ever had a perfect picture lined up with a film camera, only to realise you cut Uncle Jim's head out the top or forgot to load any film? Hewlett-Packard wants your stories, and there could be $10,000 in it for you!
Hewlett-Packard Co. has announced a new contest promoting its digital camera lineup and the advantages of digital over film cameras. They're currently seeking your best stories of "the one that got away", that occasion where you had an amazing image waiting to be captured in front of your film camera's lens only to realise later that you missed the opportunity for whatever reason. Tell the tale of how the opportunity passed you by in 500 words or less, have the photos on hand to give proof, and HP will choose the person with the best story to do it all over again.
The company is looking for informative and entertaining stories, and the grand-prize winner will get a "digital do-over" event to 're-live or re-stage the special moment they missed' with HP digital imaging products, costing up to $10,000. Second and third-placed winners will each receive a Hewlett-Packard photo lab with printer, photo scanner and digital camera worth a total of $600 retail. The contest is open to legal US residents, 18 and over, and entries must be in by May 4th 2002. For more details, visit the HP website.
