ROCHESTER, NY., Apr. 22 - Eastman Kodak Company today unveiled the new special edition Kodak EasyShare LS420 Digital Camera - a stylish, metallic 2.1 Megapixel (MP) camera designed with fun and fashion in mind. The LS420 weighs in at only five-and-a-half ounces and is part of the award-winning Kodak EasyShare system, the recognized industry benchmark for ease-of-use in digital photography.

The LS420 comes with everything picture takers need to get started - a mini-sized EasyShare camera dock, Kodak Picture Software for easy printing and sharing, a carrying case and a rechargeable battery pack - and is available in late April, all for a suggested retail price of $299.

Ideal for the picture taker on the go, the LS420 delivers high-quality prints up to 8" x 10" thanks to its all glass lens, 3X digital zoom and built-in Kodak color science technology. This proprietary technology, also used in Kodak's professional digital cameras, is the result of decades of Kodak research and development on capturing and printing stunning pictures. For those out at night, the LS420 introduces a new night shot mode that improves the clarity of the picture subject and background. In addition, users can have great fun taking videos complete with sound of their favorite memories and are only limited in video length by the size of the memory card.

With 8MB of internal memory, users will always be able to capture the moment. And with a MultiMediaCard/Secure Digital (MMC/SD) expansion slot, consumers can expand their memory with these postage-stamp sized cards. The MMC/SD memory format is becoming popular with many digital devices such as PDAs, cell phones, DVD players and other products, opening up more and more sharing possibilities.
