Phil Askey gets hands-on with the successor to Nixvue's popular Digital Album...
Our friends at the Digital Photography Review website have posted an in-depth look at the Nixvue Vista, an update to the company's prior 'Digital Album' model. The Vista (Visual Storage Album), which we first told you about back at PMA last spring, is a handheld device featuring either a 10GB or 20GB hard disk drive, video-out connectivity and a 1.8" color LCD display, a remote control, USB 1.1 port and Type-II CompactFlash slot. The device is compatible with SmartMedia, Memory Stick and Secure Digital / MultiMediaCards through CompactFlash adapters, and will also offer options for USB 2.0, IEEE 1394 FireWire, Ethernet and printer connectivity (compatible with select Epson Stylus Photo and HP Inkjet printers). Phil concludes: "Overall I was very pleased with the Vista, it offers great functionality an ease of use. Lets hope Nixvue can add support for some of the other proprietary image file formats (RAW formats) in later firmware updates." For more, hop on over to Phil's review.
