Nikon Inc. has today announced pricing details for its recently-announced Coolpix 2000, Coolpix 4500 and Coolpix 5700 digital cameras. All three models were first unveiled on May 29th, however at that time no prices were suggested and Nikon fans have been eagerly awaiting the news.

The top-of-the-line Coolpix 5700, which matches a 5.0 megapixel CCD imager and a Nikkor ED 8x optical zoom lens, will have an MSRP of $1199.95. The latest update to the 9XX series cameras meanwhile, the Coolpix 4500, will cost $699.95. Finally the Coolpix 2000, which is targetted at beginners looking for a capable model (and features a 2.0 megapixel imager and 3x optical zoom) will cost $249.95.

Nikon Announces Pricing for Latest Additions to Newly Expanded Coolpix(R) Line of Digital Cameras

MELVILLE, N.Y., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Nikon®, the world leader in photography, today announced pricing for its three new Nikon Coolpix® digital cameras (http://www.nikoncoolpix.com) -- the Coolpix 5700, Coolpix 4500 and Coolpix 2000. The 2000 also comes loaded with an automatic shooting mode and five programmed Scene modes to help take great pictures in any situation, Nikon's One-Touch Upload(TM) button which allows photos to be easily uploaded directly from the camera to a computer or the Web, and the interactive "Let's Get Started" Video CD program that takes users through the entire process of digital picture taking.
