Photokina Newsflash: New 12x zoom digital camera

The biennial Photokina show doesn't actually kick off until tomorrow in Cologne, Germany, but already the press events and sneak previews of the show floor are starting.
Yesterday we posted 11 items in our Monday report, and in today's report we're already up to 16 items. Recent news includes digital cameras spanning the range from entry-level ultracompacts right the way up to professional digital SLRs, and the most recent announcement is a 12x optical zoom consumer digicam in a surprise announcement from Panasonic, uncovered by our friends at LetsGoDigital.nl.
