Super-Easy Slide Show Software! By

There seems to be a lot of interest among our readers in turning their digital photos into slide shows to email, put onto CD, and otherwise share with family and friends.
A while back, I reviewed ImageMatics' Still Motion Creator, a nifty program that let you add motion to still images by zooming in or out and panning around the images. It turns out that it also worked great for making basic slide shows with attractive transitions between frames and a soundtrack if you so desired. While it did indeed let you create slide shows, all of its other functions made it more complicated than a simple slide-show program really needed to be.
Now, ImageMatics has taken the core of Still Motion Creator's slide-show capabilities and packaged them with a much-simplified user interface to come up with a "three click easy" slide-show program. The result is Still Motion Personal Edition, and one of the easiest-to-use pieces of slide show software I've yet seen. It's far from bare-bones though, with a wealth of transitions and multiple output formats. I could go on at (much) more length, but read my review of it for all the details!
