The Japanese digicam market seems to have a great affinity for "teasers" that are posted on websites some days or weeks before a new product launches, and IR reader "Reflecx" today noticed that Fuji has posted one such teaser on its Japanese website.
The information is scarce, but obviously hints at a new fourth-generation SuperCCD image sensor to be unveiled sometime in 2003.
The teaser shows a number of brief slides detailing past sensor achievements, and follows up with the last slide predicting a "CCD Revolution" for this year:
As for what hints, if any, are in the teaser suggesting what is different in the fourth-generation SuperCCD - well, you'll have to make your own guesses. ;) We're currently under non-disclosure agreement on the specifics of this announcement, and hence cannot comment. Stay tuned for the official announcement to be made, and we'll have the full story!
