The Strobe XP 200 is Visioneer's most advanced 6 page per minute sheetfed scanner targeted at the corporate desktop user and is bundled with ScanSoft's(R) PaperPort(R) Deluxe 8.0 software. Strobe XP 200 Scanner Specifications

Designed to fit between the keyboard and monitor, the Strobe XP 200 is an extremely space efficient paper management and productivity tool. Measuring only 2" x 2.5" x 11", it scans paper and photos from business cards up to legal size documents at 6 pages per minute. The Strobe XP 200 has a resolution of 600 dpi with 48-bit color and attaches via a USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 port.

With Visioneer's patented PaperDriven(TM) and AutoLaunch(TM) technologies, the Visioneer Strobe XP 200 automatically scans documents and photos when they are inserted into the scanner. The Strobe XP 200 scanner then launches the PaperPort software and instantly places the document on the PaperPort Desktop ready for use.

From there users can file images, print them out, use the included software to convert documents to editable text, insert images into web pages or share them with anyone via email or fax. Users can set the scanner to send the scanned image to any of the numerous PaperPort links automatically after scanning.

ScanSoft's award-winning PaperPort Deluxe 8.0 software, valued at $99, is the industry's leading document management application. Use PaperPort to zoom in on your documents, add sticky notes, highlight important points or drag and drop documents to your favorite applications. PaperPort allows for easy filing in color-coded folders and automatically searches documents and indexes them in the background to make finding documents by content fast and easy with SimpleSearch(R) technology. ScanSoft's TextBridge(R) Pro OCR allows users to scan printed documents directly into their word processor without having to re-type them. The TextBridge OCR engine accurately renders documents with multiple columns and transforms them into editable, formatted text. ArcSoft(R) PhotoImpression(TM) is an easy-to-use photo editing and creative design program that allows users to edit and retouch photos, then add special effects or place them in cards, calendars, frames and templates.

Strobe XP 200 Developer's Kit Allows For Customized Workflow Solutions

For developers who have or are developing their own applications, Visioneer's Strobe XP 200 SDK will allow for direct control of the scanner down to the low level driver. Developers can compile the ability to control the scanner into their existing code, allowing them to get documents and photos into their application with their desired settings without ever showing a user interface or allowing the end user to change the settings. For those with smaller scale projects or without programming experience, TWAIN / WIA and PaperPort Links are
another solution.
