The review that ate my brain... I thought I'd never be done with it, but my review of Kodak's new Pro 14n digital SLR is finally posted.
Finally(!) For those of you who've been wondering what's going on, and why there haven't been any new digicam reviews lately, here's the answer: The Kodak DCS Pro 14n! While I only had a prototype unit to work with, Kodak told me that subsequent firmware releases weren't likely to make a significant difference in terms of image quality. Given the intense interest in this camera, and the number of people looking to make a decision between the 14n and the Canon EOS-1Ds, I spent quite a bit of time capturing and analyzing a few side-by-side comparison shots with the two cameras. Rather than reiterate all my analysis and conclusions here though, I'll just direct you to the review itself, for all the details and an exhaustive (not to mention exhausting) analysis of the photos I shot, as well as my usual performance measurements, operating description, etc. Check it out!
(I still need to do a section on Kodak's Photo Desk software, but that's just going to have to wait until I get caught up on some of the other review work that's piled up here...)
