Rune Lindman Releases QPict Update

Rune Lindman has updated QPict, his $35 Macintosh media asset manager, with a number of new features and bug fixes.

The free update improves display quality with a user-specified quality/speed setting and adds support for AAC files. Stability on Mac OS 9 is improved and many small issues have also been fixed.

New Features

  • Finder view updated after rename media file

  • The "Open With" command in Finder now lists QPict

Bug Fixes

  • Exif flash field incorrectly reports as "on" for some files
  • Edit item name problem
  • Cmd-period to terminate tasks causes crash or does nothing
  • Stacking windows fails
  • Sheets windows are disabled during sheet transition
  • Save index fails on some configurations
  • Move to trash fails on some configurations
  • Doesn't work properly on Mac OS 9.0
  • Menu states are not updated when adding items to an empty index
  • Rename saved scripts does not work
  • Menus in an inconsistent state after dismissing "Modify Menu" dialog
  • Thumbnails for PDF files are not created from the first page in the PDF document
  • Crash on quit
