PRESS RELEASE: SanDisk promotes LeVerne Kelley to Vice President of Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety
SUNNYVALE, CA, July 9, 2003 - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) announced today the promotion of LeVerne Kelley to the position of vice president of human resources and environmental health and safety. In her new position Kelley will report to Michael Gray, SanDisk's chief financial officer. As the vice president of human resources and environmental health and safety, Kelley has direct responsibility for the global human resources function and compliance with environmental health and safety regulations. Prior to her promotion, Kelley served as the company's acting vice president, global human resources, for the past fifteen months. SanDisk has 625 employees worldwide.
"LeVerne Kelley has extensive experience and proven management skills in benefits, compensation, staffing, employee training and development and safety functions within the company," said Gray. "LeVerne has done an excellent job in establishing SanDisk's human relations as a global organization that is capable of implementing worldwide HR support programs through the business partner model. I am confident that she will provide strong leadership in human resources at SanDisk, and am pleased with her promotion."
Kelley earned her B.S. degree from Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland, attended John Hopkins University Graduate School and completed the masters program at the University of Redlands, Redlands, California.
