QuickImageCM, a freeware contextual menu plug-in for Mac OS X, lets you view and edit image files without launching an application.
Pixture Studio has released QuickImageCM 2.1, an OS X contextual menu plug-in to view and edit image files without launching an application. Displayed images can be cropped, scaled, filtered, printed, converted to a different format, and more.
With QuickImageCM, you can control-click on an image to View it, Add or Remove a thumbnail icon or Convert it.
The View mode includes a set of 11 buttons on a toolbar under the image window's title bar, which permit further operations like Red-Eye Removal and Rotation.
Options available from the Filter button on the toolbar include:
- Greyscale
- Sepia
- Invert
- Red Eye Removal
- Color Adjustment (RGB)
- Color Adjustment (HSL)
- Brightness & Contrast
- Histogram Stretch
- Blur
- Blur More
- Median (remove noise)
- Sharpen
- Sharpen More
- Miminize
- Maximize
- Posterization
- Interlace
- Add Noise (uniform noise)
