Konica Minolta moving digicam production to China

A very brief news item from the Japan Today website brings interesting news from Konica Minolta.
According to the article, the company is planning to shift its digital camera manufacturing operations in their entirity to China, as part of an expansion plan.
Konica and Minolta recently agreed to a merger which was finalised at the start of this month, resulting in the creation of the Konica Minolta Group. A part of the group, Konica Minolta Camera Inc. is headquartered in Sakai, Osaka, Japan and has approximately 4,100 employees.
