BenQ's FP591 and FP791 LCD Monitors to be in 68 Ritz Camera "Super Store" Locations Around the U.S.
City of Industry, CA (Nov. 5, 2003) - BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today announced that Ritz Camera Centers, the largest camera store chain in the United States, will carry BenQ's Digital Photo Frame LCD monitors. Ritz Camera Centers intends to sell the BenQ FP591 and FP791 LCD monitors which features the Digital Photo Frame function.
The BenQ 15-inch FP591 and 17-inch FP791 LCD monitors both feature built-in Digital Photo Frame (DPF) functions. The DPF allows users to directly view pictures taken by a digital camera without connecting to a personal computer or memory card reader. Images can be displayed in either full-screen or slide-show formats with CF, SD/MMC and Smart Media cards, and controlled through the monitors' On-Screen Display function.
"As the number of consumers using digital cameras grow, functions like the Digital Photo Frame offered in these LCD monitors are a terrific way to make digital photography more compelling to the user," said David Dimont, vice president of Purchasing at Ritz Camera Center. "I believe our customers will appreciate the value of these BenQ monitors. Not only is it a monitor; the Digital Photo Frame will let them see their photos without a computer attachment.
