New version delivers ease-of-use as a central feature by simplifying creation, management and deployment of Digital Assets
December 3, 2003, San Francisco, Berlin. Canto, a global leader in Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Cumulus 6 (Single User, Workgroup and Enterprise), with ease-of-use being the central feature of its upgraded product line. The new server-centric concept behind the Workgroup Server Solutions and Enterprise also dramatically simplifies the users' daily work when managing assets. Cumulus 6 is available for immediate download today from the Canto online eshop (https://eshop.canto.com/eshop.html).
Cumulus 6 packs an impressive list of new features. All assets can now be managed and made accessible centrally in one window, allowing to create virtual asset repositories. Also, users can now easily switch between different views with preconfigured View Sets and even display the information they find relevant with regard to format or task.
Cumulus 6 also offers Asset Handling Sets for optimized handling of different formats. In Workgroup and Enterprise these preconfigured sets can be edited and provided centrally by the administrator.
Furthermore, with Cumulus 6, Mac OS X clients and Single User version will be offered for the first time. Native support for the entire product line is a significant enhancement especially for creative professionals where Mac OS X represents the leading platform.

"Cumulus 6 delivers a powerful, yet easy to use tool to manage digital files for creative professionals and is a natural fit with the advanced technologies of Mac OS X."
