LAS VEGAS, NV, JANUARY 8, 2004 – Casio, Inc., in conjunction with its parent company, Casio Computer Company Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, announced the latest addition to its popular QV digital camera series with the new 5 megapixel QV-R51 at the International CES 2004 Show that opened in the Las Vegas Convention Center here today. The QV-R51 will be available at retail in mid-January, MSRP $399.99.

The exceptionally compact QV-R51 boasts a large 2.0” LCD screen and 3X optical zoom, all in a stylish body. Furthermore, it is among the industry-leading digital cameras, with a one-second startup and 0.01 second release time lag* (both values approximate) for quick response, ensuring you never miss a moment.
