PRESS RELEASE: Lerner to serve as President-Elect of Photo Marketing Association International
IRVINE, Calif., March 16, 2004 - Fred H. Lerner, president and CEO of leading e-commerce network Ritz Interactive, has been elected president-elect of Photo Marketing Association International for the 2004-2005 term. Prior to becoming president-elect, Lerner served as the Association's vice president in 2003-2004 and treasurer in 2002-2003. He has also served as PMA Territorial Vice President, Trustee and currently chairs the E-commerce Committee. Elections for new officers took place February 14, 2004 at the Photo Marketing Association 2004 Annual Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas.
Lerner, a photo industry veteran for more than 30 years, co-founded Ritz Interactive, Inc. - the Web network that includes RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com, CameraWorld.com, PhotoAlley.com and other leading photo-specialty sites - in 1999. Before starting up Ritz Interactive, he co-founded Metro Photo, Australia's largest independent film processor and Rabbit Photo. Lerner founded Lerner processing Labs, which he later sold to Qualex, an Eastman Kodak company. He served as CEO of Kodak processing Labs for seven years.
According to the PMA constitution and pending board approval, Lerner will automatically assume the position of PMA president in 2005.
