Idea of the Month: Bottle Cap Tripod By

It was the screwiest idea we'd ever heard, but once we thought about it, we came around.
This morning's newsletter email contained an item so compelling, we didn't even scratch our heads. Jack Ludington of Ludington Media sent us a link to an inexpensive bottle cap that doubles as a tripod.
The $9.99 Japanese version by Yodobashi fits over the cap of bottles with a 28.5 to 30.5mm diameter cap.
But Jake used a little American ingenuity to come up with a do-it-yourself $4 version that uses a cap from a 20 oz. bottle. We're thinking of adapting the design to wine jugs for digicams that weigh more than that.
Don't know if you guys saw the bottle cap tripod yet. It's a cool concept from some guys in Japan: http://store.yahoo.com/semsons-inc/botcaptripfo.html
I did a DIY version for under $4: http://www.jakeludington.com/archives/000227.html
Feel free to link to it if you are so inclined.
