Canon Japan has now posted a set of four sample images shot with the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II digital camera, announced last night.
The samples are pretty large, as you might expect, weighing in at between 7.9 and 11.3MB each. Hence, you'll want to save them to your computer for viewing (plus of course, many web browsers render images poorly in the first place).
For all four images, Canon has listed the main details such as lens used, shooting mode, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, and focus mode. All four images are manual exposures shot with four different lenses at ISO 100, and three of the four are manually focused. Shutter speeds in the samples range from 1/200 to 15 seconds, with apertures from f5.6 - f14. Two of the samples have Auto white balance, one has Daylight white balance, and one has been manually set to a color temperature of 2800K.
