PRESS RELEASE: Version 2.2 of Asiva plugins released
Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc. (SCGI) is announcing the release of version 2.2 of the Asiva® Sharpen+Soften, Correct+Apply Color, Shift+Gain and Selection Plug-ins for Adobe® Photoshop® 5.5 through CS, for Apple Macintosh® and Microsoft® Windows platforms. A bundled version 2.2 of these 4 plug-ins has also been released for immediate sale.
All Asiva® products feature 16-bit per component internal processing and are based upon Asiva's patented curve-based processing technology. Within Photoshop, the plug-ins support 8 or 16-bit, RGB or CMYK files.
All version 2.2 plug-ins now utilize the HSI color space for curve-based selection, instead of HSV. The Intensity component and corresponding Asiva® curve has twice the bandwidth of the previously used Value component, making luminance-based correction far more accurate than ever before.
Additionally, Asiva® Sharpen+Soften and Shift+Gain now support the YUV color space, used widely in digital video applications. This color space provides certain advantages over RGB/CMYK or HSI for color corrections or other digital image enhancements.
Asiva® Sharpen+Soften plug-in retails for $69, Correct+Apply Color for $49, Shift+Gain for $69, and Selection for $39. The Asiva® Plug-in Bundle, containing all 4 of these plug-ins, retails for $199. All mentioned products can be purchased and downloaded at www.asiva.com.
Trial versions can be downloaded online at www.asiva.com for Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
Asiva® is a registered trademark of Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc. All others mentioned are properties of their respective owners.
