The Fujifilm FinePix A350 is the latest in a long line of entry-level cameras from Fujifilm, a line that's been associated with good color and pleasing images, even at bargain-basement prices.

With a 5.2-megapixel CCD and 3x optical zoom lens, the Fujifilm FinePix A350 continues that tradition in an attractive new design, although image resolution isn't really on par with the best 5-megapixel models out there. Like the immediately-preceding A Series models, it offers four preset scene modes and a long maximum exposure time. Its color is very bright and highly saturated, likely to be appealing to many consumers, even though it's not technically "accurate." (Most consumers have been shown to strongly prefer color that's somewhat brighter than is technically accurate.) Overall, it's a decent entry-level digital camera, offering adequate resolution for 8x10 inch prints and an optical zoom lens at a very low price. A workmanlike entry-level model, particularly for daytime shooting, but a little limited after dark. Read our review of the Fujifilm A350 for all the details.
