PRESS RELEASE: StudioLine Photo 2 Helps Photographers Email Perfectly Sized Pictures
Release 2.12 Streamlines Digital Imaging Workflow with Email Enhancements
Upper Saddle River, NJ; September 8, 2005-H&M Systems Software, Inc. today introduced Release 2.12 of its award-winning StudioLine® Photo 2 digital imaging software. This latest release streamlines digital imaging workflow by making it easy for photographers to meet critical email deadlines. "StudioLine Photo 2.12 provides hobby and professional photographers with an efficient way to share photos in just the right size and format," says Peter Oltersdorf, marketing director, H&M Software. "The level of flexibility and ease of use added to StudioLine 2.12 make it the best image management software in its price range." New Level of Convenience for Emailing Photos The updated email features enable photographers to simply select images to be emailed and conveniently send them from the product's context menu. Professional users benefit from the option of including IPTC information or omitting camera specific Exif data. They can choose perfect image sizes based on the application or the specifications of a printer, publication or web site. When sizing an image, users can choose the unit of measure in pixels, inches or centimeters. Images intended for printing or desktop publishing can be easily emailed in their required size while also affording users control of the print resolution.
An option in StudoLine Photo 2.12 takes the orientation of each image in series into consideration and uses the larger specified "size" for the longer "side" of an image, and vice versa. This feature is available for images exported to printers, scanners, DVDs, and email. A preview window depicts the images based on all settings, in the specified size and quality (for JPEG images). Photographers can verify the result of the email settings before files are sent. Identifying ideal settings is easy, because the preview will automatically refresh after any change. Upon completion, the ideal client or project specific email settings can be saved for the next round.
Requirements, Availability and Pricing StudioLine Photo 2.12 requires Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP, and is available at major stores, with a suggested retail price of $49.00. In Europe, the suggested retail price is 49.00 Euros (35 Pounds Sterling). Electronic copies of the software can be purchased at the product web site http://www.StudioLine.biz for $44.00, or 44.00 Euros (32 Pounds Sterling) in Europe. A free 30-day trial can be downloaded.
